Home Alarm System Types
The perfect home alarm system will highly depend on your need. If you live in a condominium, you obviously do not need an outdoor home security system because you have no outdoor to secure. And of course, if you own a home with a front lawn and backyard, then you need both an indoor and outdoor home security system.
As you may have noticed, there are two types of home alarm system, indoor and outdoor. They both serve specific purposes and should be used to the best of their capabilities.
Indoor
Indoor home alarms are more popular of the two types. The most common equipment that is used for indoor security systems are:
· Magnetic door alarms which will give off a loud beeping sound when the magnets on the door and the doorframe are no longer aligned. The loud beeping sound will only stop when the magnets are aligned with each other again.
· Security cameras are placed in strategic places in the home where valuables are usually located
· Window alarms are similar to the door alarms, where they give off a beeping sound when disturbed.
· Motion sensors will be able to sense movements inside the home and that will trigger the silent alarm which you can program to contact the nearest police station so they can come quickly to your rescue.
· And be sure that your safe at home does not only require a password, biometrics is a good way to keep your valuables safer.
Outdoor
Although not as popular as the indoor home alarm, the outdoor security system is just as important:
· You can install floodlights in your backyard to be able to see the surrounding areas better.
· Outdoor motion sensing device will be able to distinguish the size of the intruder, therefore it can tell if it is a person or an animal.
· Security cameras are also used to record the events happening all around your home.
